• PE-1 Replacement Filter
Time Required: 5-10 minutes. No tools needed for cartridge swap.
  1. Turn off cold water supply valve feeding the PE-1 system.
  2. Open downstream faucet or appliance (e.g., ice maker line) to relieve pressure and drain residual water.
  3. Remove old PE-1 cartridge from plastic bracket—lift straight down or unclip per mounting style; note flow direction arrows for reference.
  4. Insert new genuine PE-1 cartridge, aligning flow arrows correctly (typically inlet at top).
  5. Turn water supply back on slowly; inspect all fittings for leaks.
  6. Flush new filter for 45 minutes at full flow to saturate solid carbon block, remove air, and purge carbon fines—run to drain, disconnecting appliances first.

Replace Schedule: Every 1,500 gallons or annually on municipal water; sooner if flow slows or taste/odor returns. Use genuine replacements to maintain superior carbon block performance over GAC.
